Hood cleaning recommendations are based on usage and types of food being prepared. Kitchens open 7 days a week required to be cleaned every 3 months. Kitchens open 3-5 days a week are required to be cleaned every 6 months.

What are the risks of not cleaning my commercial kitchen hood?

Not cleaning your commercial kitchen hood could decrease performance, including less efficient exhaust fans, which will result in increased smoke and heat in the kitchen.  Hazards include loss of life, property, revenue to your business, as well as surrounding businesses. An unmaintained hood will require an initial deep cleaning followed by regular routine maintenance. Initial deep cleaning can take 4-8 hours and routine maintenance can be 3-4 hours. Each hood and kitchen is different and has different needs so all of our pricing is customized and based on individual needs and preferences.

Do you provide certifications or reports after cleaning?

A professional hood cleaning report is required by the state and can be required by compliance engine reporting agency depending on your county and/or city regulations. We go an extra step and provide before and after pictures to our customers to let them see what quality work has been done.

What qualifications and certifications do your technicians have?

As an owner of a local small business, I participate and oversee each and every hood cleaning offered by my business. I have personally trained all of my employees and make sure they have the same work ethic and dedication to providing quality results as myself. I am ICC certified and I am a member of NFPA, NAFED, & NCNAFED.

Can you clean hoods during non-business hours?

Hoods cleanings are scheduled to accommodate client’s needs whether it is on a day they are closed, weekend, early morning or late hours.

What types of fire extinguishers do you service?

The typical fire extinguisher is an ABC fire extinguisher. It is a multipurpose fire extinguisher. A BC fire extinguisher is generally used for combustible liquid and electrical fires. A class K fire extinguisher is used for grease fires. A CO2 fire extinguisher is used for electrical or computer fires. A water fire extinguisher is used for solid combustible fires. We sell and service all of the above.

Fire extinguishers are required to be inspected and tagged annually by a certified professional fire extinguisher company.

What are the signs that a fire extinguisher needs servicing?

Fire extinguishers have a visible gauge that should be ‘in the green.’ If it is out of the green setting, that means it is either under or overcharged and requires attention. Also, other reasons for service include a missing pin, noticeable damage or tamper seal missing.

Yes, we offer fire extinguisher recharging and refilling. We also offer six year maintenance and 12 year Hydro test.

Can you help with fire extinguisher training for my staff?

Yes, I offer training classes on basic functionality and operating instructions on fire extinguishers.

What is the difference between a fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance?

An annual inspection is a visual inspection of a fire extinguisher to make sure the fire extinguisher is operable and in date. A six-year maintenance inspection is an inspection of both external and internal components of the fire extinguisher. A 12 year Hydro test involves an external and internal inspection of the fire extinguisher, along with pressure testing of the shell to ensure functionality of the fire extinguisher as it ages.

How can I dispose of old or expired fire extinguishers?

Contact your local professional fire extinguisher company for disposal as fire extinguishers have to go through a process before being placed in the landfill.
